Bais SAMURAI Day 5

Good afternoon.
I’m Hiroki Hakamada(DepED of Tanjay City)
We conducted one day workshop in Bais city high school.

Science & math teachers of Bais city high school, Bais science high school & Manjuyod high school participated in this workshop.

Venue:　Bais City High School

Contents:
・Opening
・Short Demo lessons
Tetsuhiro Takimoto / GradeⅥ　Pupils can identify the advantages of beverages.

HIROKI HAKAMADA / GradeⅢ　Appreciate that white light consists of different colors and explain how we see different colors white light.

Toshiyuki Taguchi / 4th year: Students understand the theory of mechanical energy.

Daisuke Homma / ２nd year: Rewriting n√X,where x contains no perfect n th root

Kouta Matsunaga / GradeV: Deriving a formula for finding the distance around a circle.

She was the leading part of this science show.

She participated in 3days SAMURAI workshop until 2days ago.

All of workshop in Bais finished.

We went to Negros Oriental High School that is the biggest school in Negros Oriental.

Partcipants also seemed fun.

Anyway, let's back to talk about our seminar, main part...

... Making a good atmosphere is very important thing...

We learned many things from it...

 

Bais SAMURAI Day 3 !!

This is TETSUHIRO TAKIMOTO will report about Day 3. 

That day's theme was 'NEW CHALLENGE!!'
We had a big anxiety but that was so significant program day for Philipino teacher's empowerment.

The time is come!!!

We will plunge into the new world!!! 

In that day, the mission of the Philipino teachers are maiking the lesson plan that is focused on BAGON Rules, and implementing the demo lesson that rely on their 'BAGONG' lesson plan.

As we know, the program that is up to Day2 was same as Iloilo SAMURAI 6 work shop.
However, Day 3 was the unexperience program.
SAMURAIs were getting have sweat on thier hands. 

Today's line up is coming the below.

1) The demo lesson by JOCV. (We spread out the 4 groups. Ele-Science, Ele-Math, Sec-Science and Sec-Math .)

2) Creationg the 'BAGON' lesson plan by the local teachers

3) The demo lesson & feed beck by the local teachers

4) 'Home sweet home' emotinal closing ceremony


In that day, the domo lesson by Japanese greeted in the shinny morning that was advanced 'THE NEW WORLD'.  
SAMURAIs were really motivated!!

Thereafter, the Philipino teachers were trying to create the 'BAGONG' lesson plan.
All of them ventured with highly motivation.

The spectacle showcase was coming!
In shot lunch time, that courageous lady extended her feet to the market where is far from there using bus for finding out the treasure that entitled 'GOOD VISUAL AID' .
Awesome!!!!!

In that venue, the roll of students were informed that the movie stars can make fabulous mistakes.   

After honorble shooting, the feed back time was come.
In that class, they adopted posting system.

We could spectate the wonderful sceen what the opinion that treated BAGONG Rules shot out from honorable Philipino teachers,

Awesome!!!!!

The Philipino teachers ventured zealously beyond our expectation, that's why our group work became massive.

At the last, the most spectacle choir were coming!
We were really impressed due to unite our spilits!!
Bais SAMURAI's curtain fell like this. 

To be honest, we have some agendas, but we ensured that the program that is handled by Philipino is so fruitfull.

SAMURAI6 Seminar-Workshop Day2

KOTA MATSUNAGA was in charge of the article of Day２.

The hall of the second day is same Bais City South Central School as the day１.

Today’s  program is,,

In the opening ceremony, we danced together.

Dancing is popular in Bais city.　　　　

We also enjoyed it !

They called it "Energizer"

It seems popular in here, Bais.

I heard they dance every morning..

 

 

In the morning, we had demo lesson & science show.

 

Demo lesson is important, because

Tomorrow, Philippine teacher will have the demo lesson.

Thus, we have to show the demo lesson, so that Philippine teacher adapt our lesson and their lesson.

SAMURAI often check their work, because we can motivate students through it..

It also Japanese style.

Then, We had science show. It is always popular.

In the afternoon, our first program is "Energizer"

 I was surprised. They love dancing. !

but, of course I love dancing  too !

After that, we explained "BAGONG rule".

Our presentation was improved than before.

and, TAGUTI's CP helped us. She explained about BAGONG's G : Good praise.

In addition, we explained about "teaching plan".

We requested them to use Japanese style lesson plan tomorrow.

We had two purposes.

1 .We can focus on  the time management by using Japanese lesson plan.

2. We can focus on the students activity than class activity.

I'm looking forward to their demo lesson.

Finally, we had closing ceremony & DANCING !!

I was able to enjoy our workshop.

SAMURAI6 Seminar-Workshop Day1

SAMURAI6 conducted our Seminar-Workshop in Bais City, Negros Oriental on March 11 to 15, 2011.

Toshiyuki Taguchi was in charge of the article of Day1.

Bais City is small town in Negros Oriental. Main industry is agriculture, especially Sugarcane. There are  a lot of sugarcane field there.
There are 40 elementary schools and 17 high schools in Bais City.

Venue of our seminar-workshop was Bais City Central Elementary School. All science and Mathematics Coordinator of Elementary and Secondary school in Bais City attended our seminar-workshop. The number of participants was 120.

March 11 to 13 3days program in Bais City Central Elementary School, Bais City.
March 14         1day program in Negros Oriental High School, Dumaguete City.
March 15         1day program in Bais City High School, Bais City.

The concept of the seminar-workshop is "TREASURE"

Why treasure?

Because,

We love children in the Philippines and they are the treasure of the Philippines.
They have unlimited potentials and they improve the Philippines.

Teachers are also treasure. Teacher teach not only subject but also how to live to children.
They have responsibilities to grow pupils and students.

The Philippines has a lot of treasure. Beautiful nature, mountains and sea. In addition, excellent people.

We showed science show to participants.
We conducted Optical Illusion, Bomb of Alcohol and The Game using theory of Inertia.

The participants could enjoy our show and some participants asked us to give them some material used in the show. We were very happy that some wanted our material for their science classes.



At this time, one of SAMURAI6 member, Kiyohide Ueda could not attend our seminar-workshop. However he helped me by teaching the theory of teaching slow learner to me. I want to give him special thanks.


We showed sample in the case of bad teacher and good teacher and The sample could make participants to understand easily.

We suggested five point of teaching slow learner.

1 Devising Notebook for Slow Learners
2 Writing by Manuscript
3 Waiting for Slow Learners
4 Checking students' results
5 Giving confidence

All of them are very easy to do in the class and we hope teachers to apply our ideas to their class.



 Some participants thought they didn't need the theory but it was OK. We hope them to do our suggestion.
